Consultancy and sprints for efficiency and performance

Each engagement is project-based, in person or virtual. Open a service to see the problem it solves and what you receive. Every engagement is customised to your venture and your leadership style.

Consultancy

Organisational development

For organisations that have outgrown their original setup

The problem

Your organisation has grown but your structure has not. Goals and values are vague, roles overlap or are undefined, and your team doesn’t know who does what or why it matters. Turnover is high, systems are only partly formal, and you’re unsure which departments to set up.

What I do

I align your structure with your growth and your goals as a founder: vision, mission, values and culture; organisational strategy; roles and departments; leadership development; and performance systems.

The outcome

You know where you are and where you are going. Your team knows what to do. The organisation runs on structure, not on you, with less duplication, faster decisions and stronger team performance.

What you receive

  • Organisational assessment
  • Structure design
  • Strategy document
  • Vision, mission and values statement
  • Culture framework
  • Implementation support

Duration

Standard: 6 to 8 weeks. Optional: add 3 months of implementation support. Custom: a duration we agree together to fit your needs.

Business development

For businesses with traction that are stuck

The problem

You have a product, traction and a few sales, but you’re stuck. Your business model isn’t working as you imagined, you can’t reach markets or finance, and you’re unsure what to sell, who to sell to or how to grow.

What I do

I define your business model, design your product and product line, define your positioning, assess your market and competition, set your pricing, map your path to finance and design your growth plan.

The outcome

You know what to sell, who to sell to and how you make money, with a clear path to market and finance, and a plan to improve efficiency and profitability.

What you receive

  • Business assessment
  • Business model
  • Product design brief
  • Positioning statement
  • Market and competition analysis
  • Pricing strategy
  • Growth plan
  • Financial pathway

Duration

Standard: 1 to 2 months. Optional: add 3 months of growth support. Custom: a duration we agree together to fit your needs.

Project management

For teams that need delivery to be consistent

The problem

Delivery depends too much on you. Quality is inconsistent, things fall apart under pressure, and your team doesn’t know what to do, when to do it or how to do it well.

What I do

I build your execution systems: project management, planning and scheduling, quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation, budget management, documentation, and compliance and risk management.

The outcome

You deliver on time, on budget and to standard, consistently. Your team executes without you holding everything together, with less rework, fewer delays and better use of time and budget.

What you receive

  • Project management system
  • Planning templates
  • Quality checklists
  • M&E framework
  • Budget management tools
  • Documentation system
  • Compliance and risk tools

Duration

Standard: 1 to 3 months. Optional: add 6 months of monthly follow-up. Custom: a duration we agree together to fit your needs.

Enterprise development

For enterprises, cooperatives and programmes that support them

The problem

Your enterprise has potential but lacks the skills, structure and market links to grow, or your programme cannot show that its work makes a difference.

What I do

I assess where each enterprise stands, build its owners' capacity through training and mentoring, strengthen value addition and market access, and prepare the enterprise for finance. For programmes, I design the support model and the M&E that proves it works.

The outcome

Stronger enterprises that sell more, run more efficiently and attract finance, and programmes that can show performance to funders.

What you receive

  • Enterprise diagnostic
  • Training and mentoring plan
  • Value addition and market access plan
  • Investment readiness file
  • Programme design and M&E framework

Duration

Standard: 2 to 3 months, scoped to your enterprises or programme. Optional: 6 to 12 months of programme support. Custom: a duration we agree together to fit your needs.

Compliance and governance

For organisations that funders, regulators or partners are scrutinising

The problem

Funders, partners or regulators are asking questions you can’t answer. Policies are missing or unwritten, rules are applied unevenly, and one audit or complaint could stall your funding.

What I do

I assess where you stand against donor and regulatory expectations, then design the policies, financial controls, anti-fraud and anti-corruption measures, and risk processes you need, and train your team to use them.

The outcome

You know your obligations, your rules are written down and followed, and you can show funders and partners that you are accountable. Clear processes also cut delays and rework.

What you receive

  • Compliance gap assessment
  • Policy and procedures manual
  • Financial control checklists
  • Risk register
  • Staff training and briefing
  • Compliance calendar and reporting tools

Duration

Standard: 1 to 2 months. Optional: add quarterly compliance reviews. Custom: a duration we agree together to fit your needs.

Compliance design and capacity support. This is not legal advice.

Sprints

Short, practical programmes for creative entrepreneurs, founders and teams, customised to your venture and your leadership style.

Monetisation sprint

For creative entrepreneurs and founders who want steady income from their work

What it is

A four-week practical programme on pricing, packaging an offer, contracts and finding clients, drawn from advising 100+ creative entrepreneurs. Cohort-based, online or in person. The aim is to turn your time and talent into steady income more efficiently.

Duration

Standard: 4 weeks. Optional: 8 weeks with one-to-one coaching. Custom: a duration we agree together to fit your needs.

Creativity and innovation sprint

For creative entrepreneurs, founders and teams who have more ideas than time

What it is

A practical programme on generating ideas, testing them, choosing the one worth your limited time and turning it into a product or service people will pay for. It draws on the frameworks in The Creative Ideation. The aim is to help you and your team spend time on the ideas that perform.

What you leave with

  • A method for evaluating ideas without killing what made them matter
  • A clear choice of the one idea to pursue
  • A simple plan to turn it into action

Duration

Standard: 2 weeks. Optional: 4 weeks with team workshops. Custom: a duration we agree together to fit your needs.

Problems solved

Three examples of the work. Client details are kept confidential.

Real project

Enterprise development: from training to market access

Who

Agricultural entrepreneurs in Eastern Uganda.

The problem

Smallholder farmers needed commercial skills, value-addition models and market access to turn farming into a business.

What I did

Led multi-district programmes at the GACAMI Initiative covering commercialisation, value addition and market access.

The result

3,600 agricultural entrepreneurs trained and 9,000+ smallholders enrolled in climate-smart agriculture.

Real project

Project management and M&E: finding why seedlings were failing

Who

Smallholder farmers in a GIZ-supported livelihoods consortium.

The problem

Seedling survival was only 40 to 60%.

What I did

Built the monitoring system tracking 35,000+ smallholder farmers, diagnosed the value-chain gaps behind the losses and led corrective interventions.

The result

Seedling survival rose from 40–60% to 80%.

Real project

Organisational development: the founder who became the bottleneck

Who

A creative founder with revenue, a small team and a good reputation. Client name withheld.

The problem

Every decision, client and delivery ran through the founder. Time off meant lost income, and losing one client would have hurt badly.

What I did

Found where the work depended on the founder, defined roles and a simple structure, wrote down prices and processes, set a monthly review of the numbers and diversified income.

The result

The business now runs on structure, not on the founder, and income no longer rests on a single client.

Organising Your Ideas for Greater Impact

Read the blurb

Every creative journey is unique, and every successful creator shares one thing: they chose the right idea to execute. Your time, attention and energy are limited, and every idea you chase costs you something.

This book blends psychology, strategy and hard-won experience into a practical framework. It shows how constraints become a source of liberation and how the right system helps your best ideas succeed.

You will learn how to

  • Evaluate ideas without killing the spark that made them matter
  • Pick the one idea worth your limited time from the many that tempt you
  • Move through creative blocks with clarity instead of frustration
  • Turn chaos into action using the Three Constraint Formula

This is not a book about having more ideas. It is about having the clarity and confidence to choose the right one and succeed.

Read the blurb

Most creative ventures never scale. Not because of talent, but because founders are never taught how.

You have built something that works: revenue, a team, a reputation. But now you are the ceiling. Without you, things fall apart.

Rooted in business research and thematic observation of 120 founders across Africa, The Hustle MBA blends evidence, strategy and experience into a practical framework for scaling sustainably, diversifying against collapse and building what outlasts you.

You will learn to

  • Break free from the maker’s cage
  • Build four layers of diversification
  • Create a culture that scales
  • Build what outlasts you
